Cooktop cutouts in Atlanta.

Openings cut to your exact unit. Supplied, fabricated and installed by Obsidian Stone.

Cooktop Cutouts

A cooktop cutout has to be right.

Too tight and the unit won't drop in. Too loose and you'll see a gap every time you cook. We cut cooktop openings in new countertops as part of every install, and we also come out for existing countertops.

If you've bought a new cooktop that doesn't match the old opening, we can enlarge or reshape the cutout in your granite, quartz or marble without replacing the whole top. We work from the manufacturer's cutout specs for your exact model, measure the cabinet below and cut the opening so the cooktop sits flat and flush. Then we finish the edges clean.

Send us the model number with your info and a photo of the current counter, and we'll tell you what it takes before we book the job.

Questions

Cooktop Cutouts, answered.

What affects the price of a cooktop cutout?

The stone, the size change, where the opening sits and whether the work happens in our shop or in your kitchen. Send us the cooktop model and a photo and we'll quote it.

Can you enlarge the opening in my existing countertop?

In most cases, yes. We check the stone, the cabinet below and the new unit's specs first, then tell you what's possible.

What should I send you?

The cooktop's model number, a photo of the current counter and opening, and your town. That's enough for us to get back to you.

How long does it take?

Most cutouts in an existing counter are done in a single visit. We'll give you a time when we book it.
