Granite Countertops

Granite is quarried stone, and no two slabs are the same.

That's the reason people pick it. The flecks, grain and movement in a granite countertop come straight from the earth, so your kitchen ends up with a top nobody else has. It's also one of the toughest surfaces you can put in a home.

Granite handles heat from pots and pans, resists scratches from everyday use and holds up in the sun, which is why we use it for outdoor kitchens too. We supply the slab, fabricate it in our shop and install it in your home, so one crew is responsible from the first measurement to the final polish. We'll help you pick a slab that suits your cabinets, your floors and the way you cook.

Then we template your space once the cabinets are in, cut the sink and cooktop openings to your exact units and set the finished top.

Questions

Granite Countertops, answered.

What affects the price of granite countertops?

The slab you pick, how much stone the layout needs, the edge profile, the number of cutouts and whether old tops need to come out first. We give you a clear quote at your free estimate.

Granite or quartz?

Granite is natural stone with a one of a kind pattern. It takes heat well and works outdoors. Quartz is engineered, so the pattern is consistent and it never needs sealing. We're happy to walk you through both.

How long does a granite install take?

It depends on the slab and our shop schedule. We give you a real date at the template visit, and the install itself is usually done in a day.

Does granite need to be sealed?

Yes. Granite is porous, so it should be sealed from time to time. How often depends on the stone. We seal it at install and tell you what your slab needs.
