Marble Countertops

Marble is the stone people picture when they think of a classic kitchen or bath.

It has soft veining and a depth that catches the light in a way no other surface quite does. It's also a natural stone with its own personality. Marble is softer than granite, and acids like lemon juice, vinegar and some cleaners can etch the surface, so it wears in over time and develops a patina.

Plenty of homeowners love that. We'll tell you straight whether marble suits the way you use your space. When it does, we supply the slab, fabricate it in our shop and install it in your home.

We template after your cabinets are set, cut sink openings to your exact fixtures, polish the edges, seal the stone and set the finished top.

Questions

Marble Countertops, answered.

What affects the price of marble countertops?

The slab itself varies a lot by type and quality. After that it's the size of the layout, the edge profile, the cutouts and any tear out. We give you a clear quote at your free estimate.

Is marble a good choice for a kitchen?

It can be, if you're happy with a surface that shows its age. Many people put marble on a baking station or island and use granite or quartz on the working counters.

How do I care for marble?

Wipe spills quickly, especially acidic ones, use a stone safe cleaner and keep it sealed. We seal it at install and tell you what to expect.

How long does a marble install take?

It depends on the slab and our shop schedule. We give you a real date at the template visit, and the install itself is usually done in a day.
